Ministries where you may serve:
Baptismal - This ministry seeks to support and assist baptism candidates prior to, during, and after baptismal service. After attending the required Baptism class 9:00 a.m. on the date of baptism, candidates will be assisted by workers in preparing for the service. Baptismal Services are held every 5th Sunday during morning worship.
Baby Dedication - Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and families make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will, and to raise that child according to God's Word & ways. This service is offered every 2nd Sunday.
Communion - The ordinance of the Lord's Supper is observed the 1st Sunday of each month during our morning service. Each ministry worker commits to prayer and consecration prior to preparing the elements to administered. For more information see Ms. Judy Pierre.
Drama Ministry - Our Drama Ministry is to bring teachings of Christ through theatrical performances, skits and mimes.
Greeter/ Ushers - The primary function of our Greeter & Usher ministries is to let our guest and members know that we consider it an honor and a privilege for them to attend our service, and that they are always welcome. These vital ministries help to se the tone of love from the parking lot through the entire worship experience at AFFC. Knitting - The purpose of Knitting Ministry is to be united vessels intertwined together to serve as a spiritual garment which pleases God. We purpose in our hearts to help encourage, edify, and exhort each participant of the group. Check the calander for meeting times.
Multimedia Productions - Volunteers assist on Sunday, Wednesday and special services. Our trained staff helps with the development, duplication, and distribution of various forms of media. For more information, please see Shaundolyn (Racquel) Hayes, or Xavier Porter.
Multi-media Sales - This ministry supports the sales and distribution of the sermons, musical performances, and Pastor Kenny's professional gospel recordings. If you are interested in making a purchase, or volunteering for this ministry, please see Leona Neal.
Nursing Home - The function of this dynamic ministry is to plan, coordinate, and conduct services at the Park Manor Nursing home in the northwest Houston, every 2nd Saturday of each month. Participants minister in praise and worship, prayer, teaching, dance and share with them the Lord's Supper. Its open to persons of all ages to participate. Sunday School - Classroom setting where you can participate in the study of curriculum based on God's Word, and gain knowledge of his truths and principals. knowledge of the Word of God through truths and principals of the scriptures. Sunday School starts at 9:00 a.m. for ALL AGES.
